KUALA LUMPUR, June 19 ― Sarawak’s Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Haji Johari Tun Abang Haji Openg were among hundreds of guests at the dinner at an international hotel here to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia.
In attendance at the dinner hosted by PMX Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was his China counter part Premier Li Qiang, Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Ministers, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof, and a host of Malaysia and China’s ministers.
China and Malaysia commenced diplomatic ties in 1974 following the signing of the Joint Communiqué between the then PM Tun Abdul Razak and his China counterpart Premier Chou En Lai on 31st May 1974.
